~ 2011 Shabby Journal ~

Hello dear friends! I've been away from the blog for far too long, and I've missed you.
first of all, I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday spending time with your families and enjoying your loved ones. And most of all remembering that Jesus is Lord!

Now the year is swiftly coming to it's close, and a new one is on the horizon... I'm excited and a little scared too. But I know a new year means a new opportunity to do what I've left undone and live my life better and better. I'll take my full chance to do what I know I should for God.

Newyear

And now, as we gear up for the brand, new, 2011... here I am with a fun little project to share with you. I got inspiration from Miss Melissa. paperbags and glassine sacks stitched together to create a book for the year, full of cute little pockets, hidey-holes, and fun stuff.
  Newyear3
Created with the beautiful calendar download from Crafty Secrets... paperbags, glassine sacks, all sorts of stamps, ink, stitching, tea-dyed tags and trim, die-cuts, glitter, pearls, fun little tissue-button-brad flowers. And for a few peeks inside at the little pockets of tags and calendars --

And lots of space to pen notes, remember occasions, dates, places. or just to doodle, I guess.

... and, of course, holiday themed pages! This fat little album has more than 25 full pages, with many pockets large enough to hold photos and memorabilia. I hope it will be useful for remembering the year's occasions when 2011 has come to a close.

Have a happy last few days of the year; wishing blessings to all of you.

Goodnight! See you soon!

  8. Dear viola, so glad you're back , I stumbled on your blog not so very long ago as I was searching the internet for vintage creative ideas . It is now two years after my back surgery failed ,I can not sit down or stand on my feet very long ,so I am bound to lay down and since i've always been a very busy person this is hard to bare . So I started making cards to kill the time and searched the internet , your blog brightens my day ,when I see your beautiful creations.
    My best wishes !
