Ok, this is really corny.

real sneak peek - :)

Comic5
That's your peek at the project i have to share tomorrow with CSS's new stamp for the month!
... oh, and a few photos of the "red gifts" that I mentioned yesterday... for my two sisters' birthdays:

Red1
the felt cut with PTI dies make the cutest little flowers. I used them to adorn a pocket-bag, stitched up, and of course inspired from this.

Red2

this little pocket is from my dad to his "big girl" as he calls my oldest sister. he got her a beautiful, dark red cover for her blackberry and asked me to wrap it up. When he came in and saw me working on it, he said: "so sweeet!" and pinched my cheek. haha.

Red3
here's the finished gift. I'm glad she liked it, and she says the wrapper can be reused for some gift she'll send to her friend (reduce, reuse, and recycle. go green. etc)

.. and this is for my other red-lovin' sister, a gift from the one who got the blackberry cover. The M&M dispenser is pretty silly to me, but the birthday girl loved it.

PP13
things I added: the felt blossom to the pirate's hat (they honestly look ridiculous together)... the buttons at his feet, and the trim around the can...

PP14
*bye*

until tomorrow...

~ Love Lives Here ~ four cards in a set

LLH2

I am so excited to break out my new, new PTI stamps... yesterday they came... how awesome! :) yes, I got several new stamp sets and dies... but the very first set I reached for was this one: Love Lives Here ... yup, Melis is the one who has inspired me from the very start. And I am *not really* ashamed to say that I sometimes, besides learning from her, lift from her work. but anyway, the only way children ever learn to grow up is from watching the adults. (she's an adult, and I am a child, for sure. Lol)

so... anyway, here is what came within the next two hours of receiving my stamp sets.....

LLH1
a little neighbor-hood of houses in a row.

And the adorable hand-over-heart image reminded me of gardening gloves, so I arranged them that way (the dies are perfect for reversing images, especially when you use felt) and I made this little card for my mumsy. she's a garden-girl, always puttering around her plants and making sure they grow.

LLH4 LLH3
in case you like to pick up a set of the pretty patterned paper I used for this card set, you can find them in this etsy store. oh I am going to have to be better at answering the questions left in the comments. for those of you who asked about the doughnut recipe that day... I'm going to tell you that it is EXTREMELY difficult to make. and the only reason I think so is because I didn't do a thing haha. My sister did it.

LLH5
I saved the fuzzy little heart from the center of the hand die-cut, and it found a new place in the middle of the scalloped circle.

LLH6
... another little heart nestled with the butterfly die, stitched together.

LLH7
Snipped up doilies.

LLH8
Here are the four in their cuteness.
thank you Melissa... your stamp set is as sweet as you are.

have a happy weekend... I'm off to celebrate two big sisters' birthdays. I'll show you what I did for their gifts a little later. Just to let you know, they are both nuts about red. red, red, red... red shoes, red watches. *roll eyes* ... ok, but their red gifts were something different this time.

talk later!

~ One Card, Four Colors ~ Replicating a Layout

VC1
Remember this? :) my zoo-py little zebra has a new home and the card is sailing over the sea to a wonderful etsy customer. She asked me to make three more of these valentines, each one different and special, and here they are. Valentine-blossom-collages:

VC2
Each one is created with patterned paper, stitched to the card and a hand-cut glittered heart frame, with a crepe-tissue, chipboard flower and little bits added here and there. I love using scrunchy bows.. but something tells me that the more you pay for the ribbon, the better bows they make. I'll let you know when my next order comes in and I confirm my belief :)

VC3
VC4
I hope she will enjoy sending the valentines.

my mum asked why she needed FOUR. and I said something like "Mum, I think in the US they send valentines to all their friends, not just to their sweetheart." .... *laughter*

is that true?

~ Sympathy Card and Valentine Craft Kit ~

MC1
a simple card with sympathy.

this past week comes to a sad close. a friend of ours passed from this life to the next; a mother, leaving her three little boys behind.

This little card was made for her family, as we have no words except that we're praying for them... somehow "with sympathy" didn't sound right for the front, so this little sentiment did the job.

MC2

well... on a lighter note., I want to leave this with you for the weekend:

Shabbycrimson2
A bundle of shabby crimson goodness for valentines, or any-times.

so many delicious things in the bundle -- five heart-print kraft paperbags -- two handmade, stitched doily pockets -- two manila tags with cherry baker's twine bows -- ten tea-dyed and baked mini tags (freshly brewed today in the kitchen!!)

Shabbycrimson5
Shabbycrimson3
-- more than twelve inches each of vintage trim, polka-dotty brown ribbon, and red ribbon trim -- five tea-dyed posy flowers -- three mini clothespins -- two shabby silver trinket charms -- two vintage-red posy appliques -- two heart trinket pins --

Shabbycrimson4
... so many lil things to pick apart and enjoy.if you like 'em, I'll make some more...

Shabbycrimson1
.. and you can find them here ...

Thank you so very much, to each of you for leaving you kind words here each time you visit...

we wanted to pack some of the doughnuts for some nice ladies who totally deserve them. donuts... who doesn't love them!! So I had a brainwave to use my bitty glassine sacks to pack them... and adorn with fun bits of doilies, patterned paper, baker's twine, scrunchy ribbon, and lil tags and flowers.

~ Pink Valentine and A Hug-able Zebra ~

Z3
Hi! popping in quickly tonight to share a fun little project I created for a pink valentine... having in the back of my mind a munchkin that I love, but he's a boy, and pink won't do. So this one's for you all.

Well, first here's the front of the card, with tattered pink, shabby layers... chipboard, glitter, mica-flakes, tea-dyed tags and flowers, scrunchy ribbon, buttons n brads, stamps and ink.

And what triggered the card? Here's the story. My brother ditched a t-shirt into the trashcan next to me: a shirt with the text "Save Me" and it just screamed my name so I rescued the hapless item, and suddenly something just jumped at me to create a soft-y squashy huggable out of the image on the front -- a zebra. now, I know the zebras at the zoo smell kind of zoo-py LOL, but this one was too amiably adorable to resist. so I cut, and sewed and stuffed -

Z2
And made her a pink bow. my huggy little zebra!
Here's the set:

Z1

And before I have to hurry to bed, here's a lil something that I'm sharing in the etsy store... a fun little bundle of goodies, to create your own ltreats and such things...

Zbundle
... a brown paper sack, a french-style bakery baggie, two glassine mini-bags, a pink treat envelope, a shabby chipboard frame -- shimmery magic wand -- scrunchy tissue flower with leaves -- felt flower trim -- reusable trinket pins, mini clothespins, scrunched seam binding, silk ribbon, and ten tea-dyed tags... yumminess in a bundle.
