~ Sympathy Card and Valentine Craft Kit ~
a simple card with sympathy.
this past week comes to a sad close. a friend of ours passed from this life to the next; a mother, leaving her three little boys behind.
This little card was made for her family, as we have no words except that we're praying for them... somehow "with sympathy" didn't sound right for the front, so this little sentiment did the job.
well... on a lighter note., I want to leave this with you for the weekend:
A bundle of shabby crimson goodness for valentines, or any-times.
so many delicious things in the bundle -- five heart-print kraft paperbags -- two handmade, stitched doily pockets -- two manila tags with cherry baker's twine bows -- ten tea-dyed and baked mini tags (freshly brewed today in the kitchen!!)
-- more than twelve inches each of vintage trim, polka-dotty brown ribbon, and red ribbon trim -- five tea-dyed posy flowers -- three mini clothespins -- two shabby silver trinket charms -- two vintage-red posy appliques -- two heart trinket pins --
... so many lil things to pick apart and enjoy.if you like 'em, I'll make some more...
.. and you can find them here ...
Thank you so very much, to each of you for leaving you kind words here each time you visit...
xoxo,
~ vio

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your friend's passing. It must be really tough for the family. :( But it is a lovely card, and I think they will appreciate the card and the prayers too...

ReplyDeleteAnd your bags are stunning; I love your subtle colors. And everything goes so well together. I love your tags and flowers!
I'm so sad, Vio, to hear this bad news about your friend , I wish to express my deepest regards for her young family , i myself got notice early this week that my mother is in her last stage of life and i have to prepare myself to saying goodby .But my mother is 82 ,and although devastating to me ,to know those little children have lost their mother strikes me deeply .
ReplyDeleteTe bags are wonderfull!!!
Vio, such saddening news and may the children be brave thru these hard times.
ReplyDeleteYour card will definately bring them something to be happy about cos there will know that there are lotsa of people around whom will also be missing her as much as them!
cheers
Jan
Hello, my little dear! Your card for your friend's family is lovely--and I so agree about the sentiment! So sorry to hear of her passing--I don't think there are too many things worse for a mother than the thought of leaving young children behind. I've lifted a little prayer from here in Indiana for you and for them! Your little packages are too sweet--someone will be snatching them right up!! Take care!!
