~ Embellished Shabby Treasure Box ~

Alteredbox2
 Hi! I'm here again...

Today's sharings are from my etsy, where a wonderful customer recently made a custom order. I had great fun dreaming up her ideas and creating them. First, a quick lookat a pretty box with flowers and frill.the buttons are covered with a lovely, shimmery stuff that I found in a humble stationery store a few days ago. It has a beautiful shine and soft texture... the only thing is that I'm covered with glitter myself!! :) thank you Jus for the sweet little doily and watering-can die-cut.. I love them! ... Melissa Frances papers, and pretty things. some vintage trim around the lid.

Then, I made three mini-frames for her... one size, three looks. And her chosen theme was the home. and I was like, WHY didn't get this stamp set earlier?? Sighingly, I created my own text...

Love grows in happy homes...  And I there and then resolved that I will always immediately buy stamp sets when I foresee that I'll need them. I think my Love Lives Here will arrive sometime in the next few weeks...  I love my birdcage stamp. from Studio G.

Yup, I can't wait for my real stamp set to come.TIRED of creating my own texts and houses.

And last of all, but not at all the least! Big sister in the frame world...

Trinket pins and tiny tags here... "Joy" stamp and mini scallop die-cut from here... and for the big frame, I just couldn't bear the dreadfully dark color, so I sanded away and distressed it with ink. Who knew even frames could be distressed using stamping ink.

Thank you to a wonderful etsy person for allowing me to create decor for your home. I hope you enjoy using these simple things.

And for you friends, I hope you've been inspired just a bit to grab a frame and try something out with it.

  1. Oh Viola, these are beautiful! I think this set is darling. I made a couple frames for my bathroom a couple years ago and they deperately need to be redone. I think I just might have to get on that idea very soon.
I think I might wouldn't buy the stamp set if I could duplicate it like this. Great job! :)
