~ some small fun things ~

Oi, hello...

ETA: I am HORRIBLE and got the date wrong (I thot it was 15th instead of 12th, TODAY) for our Clear-and-Simple stamps group project. Pliz, forgive me and come back in a little bit for my fabric project!) *frowns at self*

.....my standard mid-week apology for lack of posts. By now you know how insincere these "sorry-sorry" things are so I'll skip that formality........

Here, to make up for my badness, something fun for you.

Have you ever visited a place called Michael's? I always hear you ladies in the US talking about Michael's this, Michael's that.... and I didn't even know who this guy is!

Anyway,  Patty {thank you!!} sent me some beautiful goodies from Michael's!!  And now I realize it's a store and not a fellow (hahaha and jk).

And this pretty little yellow posy comes from the Recollections line at Michael's.

I heartlessly plucked it apart.... so I could do something with it.

Newflower3
..... stuffed a pink mulberry-hydrangea in between and glued the whole thing back together.

Made this:

Got scrunchy ribbon (aka seam binding)? use scraps (from failed bows -- whoops!) and cut leaves...

More yummy-licious Pink Paislee die-cuts. Me love them die-cuts. ~love~

My Mind's Eye patterned papers here (Stella and Rose) ... Clear-and-Simple's buttons... and more...
Blue + pink = pretty........ yes?

Gotta go....... dinner is calling my name.

  5. You are so smart. My son used to take everything apart to see how it worked. You reminded of this when you said you took the flower apart. Heehee.

  6. Love how you pulled apart that flower and made it uniquely your own! Your cards are wonderful, and thanks to you I've ordered those Pink Paislee die cuts, couldn't resist the birds nest you featured the other day. When they arrive I'm going to try and channel my inner Viola and see if I can make something half as beautiful as yours :)

  7. I adore what you did with that flower! Most of us would have seen it and added a little ink and maybe a bit of sparkle ... but not you! You reconstruct it in such a clever, beautiful way. Then you showcase it on another incredible card creation that you craft! My, oh my! You're amazing Viola Mahr! :)
